Philadelphia, a city well-known for its unique and thriving music venues is expanding within the music scene even more, courtesy of local creative agency, REC Philly.
REC Philly, a two-part creative ecosystem – one-part incubator; one-part marketing agency focusing on helping creative entrepreneurs to turn their passions into businesses, has launched the venue, LIVE! at William Street Common in West Philly.
LIVE! an independent music venue located near University of Pennsylvania’s campus at 3900 Chestnut Street, will seek to fill the void that was left in the live music market since The Blockley closed their doors back in 2013.
The new music venue will be an outlet for local musicians and entrepreneurs to build a larger audience and following. It offers a capacity of 300 attendees and caters to an 18 or 21+ age group.
The opening of this venue is in partnership with Philadelphia-based FCM Hospitality, owner of William Street Common, as well as Morgan’s Pier, The Dolphin Tavern and many of Philadelphia’s most popular venues throughout the last 20 years.
LIVE! at William Street Common opened this past Friday, December 2, 2016 featuring REC Philly’s monthly art and music showcase, Underground POV.
