ACE, set on December 18, 1987, is a spry comedy that recalls the nine year anniversary of Ted Greenberg’s overdue college paper. Emmy Award-winning and Late Night with Letterman writer, Ted Greenberg, with the help of director and developer, Elizabeth Margid, is finally taking ACE to the stage after its inception in a scene study class in 2013.
As a New York City cab driver, Ted is forced faced one screeching, imperative deadline. He must turn in the paper by midnight or he risks his long cherished degree-pending status at Harvard being yanked away from him.
The play will take a rampant drive through the Big Apple and his past. He will confront his financial-behemoth father before he is able to come to grips with an eight-to-ten-pager on Edmund Spenser’s 500-year-old unfinished epic poem, The Fairie Queene.
ACE is coming to The Bruce Montgomery Theatre at the Annenberg Center for Performing Arts from August 4th to 12th. Go back in time to relive Ted’s journey through his story of his overdue paper.
